How Iran Broke America

Darrin Waller, writing as Fountainbridge on Substack, just published “How Iran Broke America.” He says in his introduction, “Tehran has achieved what few nations in recorded history ever have: by refusing to submit to the global hegemon, it took on two of the era’s most formidable military powers — outspent by more than fifty to one — and forced their strategic retreat.” Here’s the link to the whole article.

If you don’t understand that the United States has suffered a major strategic defeat, please read this article. If you don’t think you care, read the article. See the description of the damage (mostly not reported in traditional media) our military has suffered at the hands of a some inexpensive drones and missiles. Must be panic in the board rooms of the large defense contractors, accustomed as they are to cost plus contracts for ridiculously expensive systems and platforms that can apparently be destroyed by weapons costing almost nothing in comparison. The so called deal Trump has announced (nobody has seen an actual written agreement) is a nothing burger and I’ll be surprised if sticks. And I’d remind you that whatever deal has been reached, the Strait of Hormuz doesn’t fully open until the mines are removed, sailors and captains and ship owners believe the mines have been removed and that traversing the strait is safe, insurance and reinsurance is in place again, and certain damage is repaired.
